Interesting things that happen today:

1) 29th Feb. Happens once in four years.

2) Ms Chin is unusually happy today.

3) Xiao Bo can't do CPR.

4) Stupid people who cannot rate movies:

Nonsensical comments just annoy and piss me off and I probably lose a couple of brain cells reading the reviews at sg.movies.
Come back and re-review the movie after you have achieve some intellectual and taste in movies and perhaps you will appreciate the movie better.

Stay away from Meet The Spartans at all cost. It is absolutely one of the worst movie I have watched in my whole life. Completely rubbish and definitely not funny.. at all.
0/10
This review of MTS was probably funnier than the movie itself:

Song Of The Day:
Philip Glass - Metamorphosis Two

Found this piano solo song when a user recommended it at RYM. Great piece of music accompanied by a good video.

'Each time I see her, I will still get that feeling.'

Song Of The Day:
Porcupine Tree - Lazarus (From album : Deadwing)
One of my favorite song by PT.. and truly a beautiful song.

Lyrics:
As the cheerless towns pass my window
I can see a washed out moon through the fog
And then a voice inside my head, breaks the analogue
And says

"Follow me down to the valley below You know
Moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul"

I survived against the will of my twisted folk
But in the deafness of my world the silence broke
And said

"Follow me down to the valley below You know
Moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul"

"My David don't you worry
This cold world is not for you
So rest your head upon me
I have strength to carry you"

(Ghosts of the twenties rising Golden summers just holding you)

"Follow me down to the valley below You know
Moonlight is bleeding from out of your soul
Come to us, Lazarus
It's time for you to go"

Song Of The Day:
Porcupine Tree - Shesmovedon (From Lightbulb Sun )

Lyrics:
You move in waves
You never retrace
Your newest craze
Straight out of the Face by the bed unread

I'm left behind
Like all the others
Some fall for you
It doesn't make much difference if they do

She changes every time you look
By summer it was all gone - now she's moved on
She called you every other day
So savour it it's all gone - now she's moved on

So for a while
Everything seemed new
Did we connect ?
Or was it all just biding time for you ?

I am pretty satisfied with the results of this year Oscars. I feel that Cate Blanchett
should have won with either of her nominated section and The Golden Compass
should not have won the best visual effects( Transformers should have won ).
There are no other major upsets for this Oscars and the results were kinda expected.
I hope Paul Thomas Anderson gets his Oscar for best director soon.
He is still young and has plenty of chances in the future.

Song Of The Day:
Symphony X - Paradise Lost

Lyrics:
In the cold misty morning
gleaming rays awake the dawn
Here I stand - a stranger in this land
does your conscience betray you?
falling from grace -
feel the sun on my face
does desire still hold true?

Mystified by her beauty -
does the hunter pity his prey?
Under starless skies all
Love must die and fade away

Take my hand - divine or damned
Make a stand, seize the day
Yours or mine, damned of divine
Draw the line, come what may...

Looking down from ethereal skies
Silent crystalline tears I cry
For all must say their last goodbye -
to Paradise

My yearning is silenced by angelic skin of white
Love conquers all for heaven's fall
this faithful night.
Yours or mine - damned of divine
Draw the line - serpentine...

Love is a tragedy
all that I have, all that I'll ever need
is right here inside
Let the winds of freedom be my guide

Looking down from Ethereal Skies
Silent crystalline tears I cry
For all must say their last goodbye -
to Paradise

Looking down from Ethereal Skies
Silent crystalline tears I cry
For all must say their last goodbye -
to Paradise
Say goodbye, goodbye, hold on!

...so I've cheated and I've lied
been the victim of foolish pride
and I've begged and I've crawled
and I've battled and bled for it all
now I'll savor the downfall...
of Paradise

Looking down from Ethereal Skies
Silent crystalline tears I cry
For all will say their last goodbye
to Paradise

Officially done.

Song of the day:
Dream Theater - Space Dye Vest

Lyrics:

Falling through pages of Martens on angels
Feeling my heart pull west
I saw the future dressed as a stranger
love in a space-dye vest

Love is an act of blood and I'm bleeding
a pool in the shape of a heart
Beauty projection in the reflection
Always the worst way to start

Now that you're gone I'm trying to take it
Learning to swallow the rage
Found a new girl I think we can make it
as long as she stays on the page

This is not how I want it to end
And I'll never be open again
There's no one to take my blame
if they wanted to
There's nothing to keep me sane
and it's all the same to you
There's nowhere to set my aim
so I'm everywhere
Never come near me again
do you really think I need you

I'll never be open again, I could never be open again.
I'll never be open again, I could never be open again.

And I'll smile and I'll learn to pretend
And I'll never be open again
And I'll have no more dreams to defend
And I'll never be open again
